ACCELERATED SCHOOLS NEWSLETTER JULY 14, 2004 PAK Family Discovers North America Leaves photo treasures behind for the world to enjoy. Professor Jong-Jin PAK from South Korea visited the Colorado School of Mines as a visiting Professor with his lovely family members, wife Malkyoung, son John and daughter Carolyn So Min. They traveled nearly 30,000 miles of Western and Eastern parts of North America, and took more than 5,000 pictures of beautiful scenery. You can download and use all 5000 of their pictures without copyright restriction at www.freetravel.cc John and Carolyn attended at the Accelerated Schools. The children made incredible improvement in their English and Math abilities. Their visit to the United States was very successful. It was an unforgettable experience. Professor PAK donated his pictures to our school for the internet free picture program. He also helped us with Korean translations of our brochures and texts used in the class. We hope to have a close relationship with this family even after they go back to Korea July 2004. Carl Peterson
